Syston Twinning Super Summer B-B-Q

On Sunday, 19th July, Keith and Christine Gregory held a superb Summer B-B-Q at their home on behalf of Syston Twinning.
All the ingredients for a typically British B-B-Q were provided: plenty of delicious food, ample amounts of liquid refreshment, delightful company, and even croquet on the lawn.  The only thing which was missing was the cloudless blue sky.  Instead, there was one of those torrential downpours which have been so common this summer.
However, thanks to brilliant foresight, there was enough shelter not only for all the guests, but also for the chefs and the B-B-Q, so the spirits were never in danger of being dampened.  In fact, the determination to have a good time despite the weather, added to the laughter and fun.
To round off the highly successful event, the Chairman, Ian Baker, took great delight on behalf of everyone present in wishing Keith, the Honorary President of the Twinning, a very happy birthday.
