Saturday 28th November
A new venture is coming to Syston which it is hoped will become an annual event. ‘Arts & Crafts in Syston’ will provide an opportunity for artists and craftspeople to showcase their work and sell direct to the public, and will bring to the town and its surrounding villages a range of unique handmade products and original works of art.
On the day three rooms of the Community Centre will be filled with stalls selling a wide variety of high quality handcrafted gifts, decorations and home ideas including handmade candles, soaps, jewellery, Christmas table decorations, bookbinding, ceramics, fabric crafts, embroidered and personalised baby items, wood turning, reclaimed rustic wood, soft furnishings, interior paint effect items, a range of garden themed gifts for the gardener in your life and lots more!
Alongside the craft stalls, several talented artists will be exhibiting and selling their work, with some taking commissions. They include a portrait artist, African wildlife painter, pet portrait artist, landscape painters in watercolours, oils and acrylics, and a folk painter. Local art group Wreake Valley Artists will be exhibiting along with their tutor Craig Biggs.
The fair will be in Syston Community Centre from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday 28th November. Admission is £1, and the proceeds are in aid of Loros.
If you want to find a range of beautiful products all under one roof, a unique gift for that special person, or just want to browse among the wealth of talent on show, then make sure this date is in your diary.
