mitch-with-champion-trophyDuring the last few months my son Damon has been entering the codes from his Coca Cola bottles on to the Cokezone web site, in a bid to use the points he gains from the codes towards a prize.
On the 14th September he received a call from Coca Cola telling him the brilliant news that his name had been drawn out as one of only 22 winners to win two tickets to the Fifa World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The prize includes two flights, accommodation and two tickets to see one England game. This particular prize could only be won through Coke Zero bottles. There is one draw left for others to have a go at on 1st November.
For anybody else this prize would be brilliant, but my son is an absolute fanatic when it comes to football. His main team is Arsenal, due to his Dads obsession with them, his Grandad also followed them and lived at Woolwich. Damon also follows his home city Leicester and will often go to watch them with his Godmother, who is a season ticket holder.
Damon is affectionately nick-named Statto in the family, due to his endless knowledge about football. He will get up at 6.00am so he can watch Sky Sports for an hour before leaving to do his paper-round!
He joined an out-of-school football team for the first time last season and is one of their strikers. Thurmaston Magpies under 13′s, 2008/09 won that league and he has signed up for this new season under 14′s, and continues to be a striker.
Damon attends Wreake Valley College.
