This event took place on Saturday 3rd October and started with activity in the Concert Hall being filled with stalls selling homemade cakes, which were selling fast, a book stall, raffle with some fabulous prizes and a tombola. Preparations were also being made for the shows that followed at 2.00pm and 4.00pm provided by Starlets dance group, who gave two excellent performances with participants from children to adults. Although tiring, one of the children said they had thoroughly enjoyed it.
In the bar area Karaoke stars performed throughout the day until early evening when a disco and live band took over.
The total raised on the day was £839.67 and a big thank you is sent out to all those involved in organising and participating in the day. Look out for more events taking place between now and December when the meeting will take place that will decide the future of the club. They still need to raise £30,000 by then if Syston is not to lose this popular establishment.
