The Twyford Guild held their annual art exhibition in the village hall on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. This established event in the calendar did not disappoint visitors with a superb range of artwork produced by the talented guild members including traditional and contemporary works of art, Photographs, Water Colours, Oils, Acrylics to Silks and Embroidery, Batik on Silk to name but a few. Our picture shows the Guild members who produced these marvellous works of art and the talent that resides in such a tranquil village. They all came together after chance conversations when moving into the village and then met over dinner and decided to set up the guild, as they are all trained artists and wanted to provide an occasion to display their work. They are now into their eighth year and judging by the quality of work on display, they will continue to provide an excellent exhibition in the future.
As well as the guild members displaying, amateurs have been invited to show their works and these included photography, stained glass panels, wood carving and mixed media.
