New Barkby W.I. recently held their Annual meeting. Speakers for the evening were Mrs J Kirk and Mrs R Green from Barkby and Beeby W.I.
Mrs Janet Hutton was re-elected president for a second year. Other committee members are to be Mrs J Brewerton, Mrs J Brutnall, Mrs V Cobb, Mrs R Foster, Mrs S Freaklin, Mrs K Fryman, Mrs C Grant, Mrs A Montague, Mrs J Oliver, Mrs A Taylor and Mrs A Wright.
Afterwards, members enjoyed social time and a bring- and-buy sales table. Members who attended courses at the W.I College (Denman College, Oxfordshire) brought along samples of their art work for display.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 2nd December at 7.30pm in Syston Community Centre when the speaker will be Monica Winfield on the work of LOROS. The competition will be for a Christmas Tree Bauble.
