100% SUCCESS AT THE ‘JAMES FREER’S SCHOOLS OF TAE KWON-DO’
On 16th October 2009 over 650 students from all over the UK travelled to the Tae Kwon-do academy in Bristol to take their long awaited Black Belt Grading, ranging from first degree Black Belt to fifth degree.
Amongst those were some of Mr. Freer’s students from his three clubs in Leicester, Loughborough and Syston taking their first, second and fourth Dans. Mr James Freer, fifth Dan had seven students take their first Dan grade this included six juniors ranging in age from nine years to 12. They were Gemma Newton, Kara Lear, James Booth and Sam Garner all from the Syston club and Arron Gim and Billy Keen from the Leicester club.
Taking their second Dan grade were; Nathan Dickinson and Sophie Shaheen of the Leicester club, Miranda Hunt, Joey Pickering, Ian Jackson father of eight year old Cameron Jackson and Ryan Newton 14 year old all from Syston club. Also David Sutherland from the Loughborough club.
Mr Freer also had two of his students go for a very high grade, the fourth Dan. These were Sheryl Freer, Mr Freer’s wife and Mr David Gamble.
Mr Freer was able to watch his students perform at the grading and comments that they all were fantastic, their performances on the day were outstanding and they not only made him proud but also the clubs proud too.
To get through such a tough test the students had to train very hard with Mr Freer pushing them all the way.
Also Mr Freer is due to be awarded his sixth Degree Black Belt in November at the next competition, the British Championships held at the end of November.
This will make him one of the highest grades in Leicestershire!
