
This event is supported by The Syston Chamber of Trade and The Syston Town Council and will take place on Saturday 5th December.
The Melton Road will be closed from Natural World to Barclay’s Bank on the corner of High Street from 1.00pm until 9.00pm to allow preparations for the event including Billy Bates mini fun fair, children only, along the main road, with various snack food vending and a Hog Roast.
The parade will start from the Community Centre at 4.30pm and travel up High Street and onto Melton Road at Barclay’s Bank, finishing in the Barkby Brook Bridge Car Park, the Parade will include Thurmaston Marching Band, Cheerleaders and Santa on his sleigh.
Ben Jackson from Radio Leicester and Billy Bear will commence the proceedings 4.00pm and announce the arrival of Santa at 5.00pm. Councillor Howard Midgley, Chair of Syston Town Council will announce the three winners of the Shop Window Competition and switch on the Festive lights.
Santa will leave his sleigh and stand on the raised platform to greet children plus, at the far end of the car park, a Paint Balling and a Bouncy Castle will be set up for entertainment.
Billy Bear will also be available for photographs. First aiders and lost and found personnel will be on hand.
