Ratcliffe Chorale Concert held on 14th December 2009.

The cold wet evening of Monday 14th December did not put off the many people who attended a concert given by the Ratcliffe Chorale and organised by the Ladies Guild at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Syston. The Chorale was on top form and we enjoyed a variety of sung and spoken pieces including carols and the story of Wind in the Willows set to music and with solo parts. All this, together with carols where the audience were invited to join in, put us all in the Christmas spirit early. To round off a wonderful evening the event raised the magnificent sum of £662 towards the Guild’s fundraising drive this year in aid of the Premature Baby Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
