The Christmas Bazaar was held on Friday 4th December and for a cold winters evening there was a good turnout of parents, grandparents and carers, as well as children to this event. They were welcomed by the assistant head Martin Lees playing carols on his trumpet, which gave a warm and festive feeling to the event. The main hall was filled with a wide range of stalls and activities including face painting, handmade cushions, and the school choir performing carols (see picture). In two of the classrooms the school council, chaired by Reece, had set up two Wii games, Tennis and Mario Car, to challenge those who wanted to try and win prizes for the highest score. Reece said that they came up with the idea as it is very popular and thought it would help them to raise funds for the school. They were assisted by Mr Mawdsley and Mrs Bryan who went on to say that some of the stalls had paid to have their place at the event and this would all help to increase the amount raised which, along with the raffle, came to an amazing £1177.48 with the Christmas bazaar raising £756.32.
