Raynsway Paves the Way to Thurmaston Church

thurmaston-church-2 Thurmaston parish church now has a brand new path leading to it thanks to maintenance work carried out by commercial property developer, Raynsway Properties.
Visitors to St Michael’s & All Angels C of E Church, on Melton Road, are now able to use the re-laid path to gain access to the place of worship after Raynsway, which has a portfolio of office and industrials units in the Thurmaston and Syston areas, offered its services to Thurmaston Parish Council.
Reverend Javaid Iqbal, priest in charge at the church, commented, “I very much appreciate the spirit of service to the community shown by Raynsway Properties which has shown its awareness and commitment by offering to do the work needed to relay the church path. The work has added to the beauty of this historic church which is the only place of worship in Thurmaston.”
The work comes shortly after Raynsway also carried out maintenance on a playground in Garden Street, removing overgrown vegetation and carrying out landscaping works using top soil from its Watermead Business Park in Syston, to both improve safety and create open views within the area.
Giannina Rayns, Director at Raynsway, said, “We believe it is very important to help out within our local community and we were happy to approach Thurmaston Parish Council to see if our services were required. We are pleased with the results of both jobs, at St Michael’s & All Angels and Thurmaston Park and hope those who use these facilities will benefit from our work.”
Councillor Brenda Seaton, Borough Councillor for Thurmaston, commented, “It really is fantastic to hear that a local developer such as Raynsway Properties is able to take time out from its regular business to help its local community out with these projects. It shows a commitment and desire to be involved in the area and I thank Giannina and his team for their efforts.”
