Syston Athlete wins at the Midland Counties Athletics Championships

Phillip Doorgachurn won gold in the senior mens 200m and silver in the 60m with 21.91 and 7.01 seconds respectively. Phillip Doorgachurn teaches PE and Sport at Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College in Leicester and lives in Syston.
This is his first senior title at the Midlands event and now ranks him 11th in the UK this year.
The event was held on 13th and 14th February at the NIA in Birmingham.
