School children at The Merton School have been collecting packets of seed and adding them to their Seed Tree shown in the picture below. The children were given a list of vegetable and herb seeds to donate by the U Foundation which helps a range of projects in Zambia. The range of seeds included pumpkins, carrots, lettuce, radish, thyme and sage to name just a few. At the end of February the Tree was dismantled and all the packets of seeds given to fund raiser for the charity and parent Mrs Sarah Elton. The seeds will be taken out to the projects in Zambia on the next planned visit.
