DeVille Park
The long awaited refurbishment of the Play areas in DeVille Park have began to gather some momentum now. In May consultation with Merton School Council and Wreake Valley College Council took place with the Landscape Architects. This proved to be an enlightening and rewarding exercise in which the honest and constructive views some of the young people of the Town were gained. A more detailed plan will now be made available to the Council and General Public for opinions to be collated. Construction work is still due to start in the end of summer ready for a Grand Opening before any bad weather returns.

Anti-social Behaviour on Parks
Syston has in the past and continues to suffer from vandalism and littering all round the town. The parks and flower beds are particularly targeted and becomes a daily task for the estates staff to put right. Please could we drive out mindless damage, glass smashing and dog fouling that it ruining it for everyone. The Town Council can only do so much so we need everyone’s help with this so let us all try and keep Syston a good place to live.
Youth offenders are progressively been painting the perimeter fence round Central Park in a bid to improve things and the Council have been trying to repair daily damage to the bedding plants.
