Dear All ReadersI am proud to announce the fantastic achievement of the Queni Dynamo Cheerleaders at a recent championship. An achievement I hope will give great pride not only to the squads involved but also their parents, my staff and the local community.During the weekend of 17th and 18th July several squads from QDC aged five to 22 years, competed in the British Cheerleading Championships, against teams from all over the UK, held at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena. The standard was high and competition for the top places was intense. After two rounds of stiff opposition from some highly established and respected squads, Q.D.C. came away with numerous awards, one 3rd place, two 2nd and two 1st places, including beating our own personal best score, senior cheer.Next year we aim to have a Tiny squad meaning five years and under, watch this space for their progress.Q.D.C. has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and since the studio has been completed the dancers, cheerleaders and gymnasts now have full use of two studios with dance/sprung floors, air conditioning, tumble mats and an air track. Five of the original pupils from over 10 years ago, have now started to further their careers within the Company by taking their teaching exams. Each of these girls is highly respected by not only the pupils, but also by the parents. They have worked very hard throughout the years, and it has now been recognised by the IDTA, as Stacey Pope and Sarah Lowen were awarded the highest achievement award for scoring over 90% in their Professional exams. Q.D.C. is known for being a friendly, fun and enjoyable dance school, where each and everybody is treated as equally as the rest. Without all the fundraising, donations, love and support I cannot imagine being where we are today.Thank you for your continued support.
