The Patricia Randon Plate, has again been won by ‘1181 Syston Squadron’ as the squadron gaining most points in the year for their prolific media output.

In the twelve months up to the end of August this year saw the Syston media team amass an amazing 4,623 points, soundly beating second placed ‘1211 Swadlincote Squadron’ by over 2,200 points.

The Patricia Randon Plate was presented to the Wing last year by the retiring Chair of Syston Squadron after whom the plate is named. This is the second time it has been awarded, both times to Syston.

The Wing’s Media and Communications Officer, Flight Lieutenant Allan Munns, said: “It has been a good year for the Wing’s media output with Syston setting the pace.
