Public invited to give their views on GP Out of Hours service

East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting members of the public to have their say on plans to develop GP Out of Hours services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

A new contract for the Out of Hours service, which patients call for medical advice when their GP surgery is shut, together with the future round-the-clock NHS 111 phone service, will be commissioned jointly by East Leicestershire and Rutland, West Leicestershire and Leicester City CCGs.

As part of East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG’s commitment to making sure local communities play an active role in developing local health services, people are being invited to attend a workshop event and let the CCG know how they currently use the service and what changes could be made to make the service even better.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday 4 June from 6.30pm-8pm at the Assembly Rooms, Welland Park Academy, Welland Park Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9DR. Light refreshments will be served from 6pm and there will be full disabled access. Those wanting to attend should contact Penny Harris by emailing [email protected]
