Students at James Freer’s Schools of Tae Kwon Do have recently been sharing success with positive black belt grading results. Students of Loughborough, Leicester and Syston travelled to Bristol’s Tae Kwon Do academy along with over 500 others to perform in front of a panel of 7th and 8th Dan masters resulting in a 100% pass rate.
Across the three clubs there are now thirteen brand new 1st degree black belts. Mathew McKeating, Rohan Nath, Daniel Cox, Kiranjot Riyat, Rajiv Vaitha (Loughborough), Rob Horton, Michael Simpson, Sian Davison, Hannah Davison, Olivia Burzio, Jasmine Freer (Syston), Carl Deacon and Mat Rawlins (Leicester).
Achieving 2nd Degree Black Belt were Collette Reddington (Loughborough), Rachel Cox and Ben Mapletoft (Syston).
Achieving their 3rd Degree Black Belt was Rebecca Roberts (Syston) and achieving their 5th degree black belt was Louise Cox (Loughborough).
A special mention has to go to Sian Davison and Hannah Davison who are mother and daughter who both took their grading together becoming black belts along with the rest of their family, Stuart, Ryan, Chloe and Alfie (just started training at 4 years old!)
The Davisons are one of many families that train with James Freer. The training provided caters for people of all ages, meaning that mum, dad and children can participate in the same classes providing fun for the whole family. At special occasions such as gradings they can train and grade together offering one another help and support. This grading also resulting in Jasmine Freer passing her black belt finally joining her mother (Sheryl Freer) and father (James Freer) who are both instructors, the club prides itself on being family orientated and is able to offer starter packages for families so the whole family can train together!
The student’s instructors would just like to take this opportunity to say well done and great to see all their hard work paid off!
