Family History Research Session
Want to know more about family history and don’t know where to start?

Syston Library is holding a taster session on Friday 11th October to help people explore on-line resources to research their family history.

The session costs £3 per person and is aimed at people with little or no experience of researching family history, but some experience of using computers and the internet. The session will highlight a few useful online resources, concentrating on Ancestry and Find My Past.

The session takes place from 10.00am to 11.30am.

Pre- booking is essential.

Do you have some time to give? To find out more about volunteering opportunities in the Syston area, drop in for an informal chat with your

local volunteer advisor from Voluntary Action Leicestershire, who will on hand with information and advice.

Come ready for bed and bring your ted! Join us for milk, cookies, craft activity and stories.

For children aged 4-8 accompanied by parent/carers (who are also welcome to come in their PJs!)

Meet local author Mary Mestecky who will visit Syston Library to talk about her books, read some extracts and answer questions.

There will also be the opportunity to buy books for signing.
