Meet Crime Author, M. P. Wright at Syston Library

Crime writer, M.P. Wright will be at Syston Library on Tuesday 15th July to talk about his new novel, Heartman, which is published on 1st July.

M.P. Wright grew up in Syston and is looking forward to coming back to his home town to talk about his novel and his writing.

His debut novel features J.T. Ellington, an ex-cop with a tragic past and a broken heart, who is approached to help find a young deaf and mute woman who has gone missing, and who the police aren’t interested in searching for. Facing hostility and prejudice, JT must unravel a deadly conspiracy in a dangerous and unfamiliar world.

M.P. Wright quotes his literary heroes as: James Lee Burke, Raymond Chandler, Ross Macdonald and Walter Mosley amongst others and the evening should give a fascinating insight into the world of the private detective and the crime writer.

The event starts at 7.00pm. Tickets are available from the library and cost £3, including refreshments. Pre-booking is advised.
