The Merton Academy Whole School Art Project

During the term leading to up to spring break on Friday 23rd May 2014 the school had a resident artist who worked with all year groups to produce a wide range of art which was displayed in Bell’s Wood. The children made Dream Catchers, Frame Arts, Bird Boxes, Abstract flowers and Mosiac trees.

On Friday 23rd May the Stn was invited to meet the team of children who helped to set up the display that parents, grandparents, carers came to see after school.

Our picture above shows the resident Artist Vanessa Rose with Miss Elsome and Dettori, Rhys, Joseph, Evie, Teigan, Alanis and Keira sitting on the Chairs made to commemorate Claire Melbourne who worked at the school.

The one below, shows the young team in the wood surrounded by some of the dream catchers, and the other shows some of the visitors enjoying the display. Well done to everyone involved, it was lovely to see.
