Syston Carnival Committee would like to say a big Thank You to all those people that attended and supported the event on Saturday 30th August including the local groups that performed on the day. We hope that you all had an enjoyable time. Your continued support has again helped a number of local charities raise much needed funds which will help support their work.
Thanks go to our two main sponsors Pukka Pies Ltd and Dunelm Ltd for supporting the arena events and to the 53 local retailers, large and small, that supported the Prize Draw, the profits of which go towards the cost of staging the Carnival.
Special thanks also go to Tesco’s for their support with the adult Fancy Dress competition and the Colouring Competition, providing a collection and drop off point along with the Library and to Ady Allan Watts of the Watt Group.
For all those that took the time to prepare and enter the various carnival competitions, we say a big thank you. The competition winners are now displayed on the Syston Carnival Facebook Site.
If you were one of the 61 Prize Draw Winners, all of which have been contacted, please do not forget to collect your prize.
Our next Carnival Committee meeting is on Wednesday 8th October 7.00pm at Syston Conservative Club Lounge, where we will be reviewing this year’s carnival and making outline plans for next year (Saturday 5th September 2015). If you would like to contribute in any way, you will be made most welcome.
