Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland Stock Appeal

Are you one of the many people who have had a ‘good sort out’ in order to accommodate presents given at Christmas, and items of clothing and furniture bought in the sales.
Director of Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, Mr Anthony Donovan, has appealed for items in a saleable condition to be donated to the charity and not tipped.
Age UK is in disparate need of good quality goods for its network of charity shops.
Donations of goods in the build up to Christmas fell off dramatically and all of the shops need replenishing.
He further commented that charities including Age UK are under immense pressure because of funding cuts. The charity shops are a life line but their success is based on the support of the general public.
Clothing, bric-a-brac can be taken to any of Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland’s shops directly and free collections of furniture can be arranged by calling Birstall on 0116 267 2098 and Blaby 0116 278 1208.
