It’s Never Too Late

The third phase of improvements to the pavilion involving the refurbishment of the clubroom was completed prior to the start of the season. A team led by Alan Beynon worked throughout the winter as did Chris Yates who rewired the entire building. Club members joined in on the NatWest weekend at the end of March helping to finish off the splendid work done and to complete preparations for the new season. Improvements to the car park and refurbishment to the nets were also carried out so that the club started the season with vastly improved facilities all round.
The season may now be underway but it’s still only early May and it’s not too late for players of all age groups to join the club if they wish. If you are still undecided come along to one of the practice evenings at the ground and give it a go. The juniors including Kwik cricketers, Under 11 and Under 13 squads practice on Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, the Under 17 and seniors practice on Thursdays and the Under 15 team on Fridays, all at the same times.
Alternatively, if you would like to help with some coaching you would also be very welcome. The club will fund any training and certificates that would be required for you to become a qualified ECB coach. Head Coach John Fraser would be happy to discuss this with you. He can be contacted on 01455 212 729 or at the ground on either of the practice nights.
