The removal of the two large planters on Melton Road near the Co-op has caused quite a stir. They have been removed by Syston Town Council at the request of the owners of the land on which they were sited. (Though adjoining the pavement, the strip of land, which was slabbed, is privately owned.) The Council, along with the Syston in Bloom Group is keen to find a suitable place where the planters can be relocated. The Council’s Development Committee will be discussing this at its meeting in May. Meanwhile, if you have a good idea of where they can be sited, please get in touch with the Council. You may wish to keep them as a pair, or want to site them in different locations. All suggestions will be considered.
