SYSTON FRIENDSHIP GROUP A meeting of friends with learning difficulties, our member’s ages range from 20 to 75. SYSTON RFC The club has 250 members aged six to 16 years, having provided many players for the Leicester Tigers over the past 20 years. THRUMMY DRUMMER DEMENTIA GROUP We are a social and support group for dementia suffers and their carers. We meet 2nd Thursday each month at Elizabeth Park Sports Centre Thurmaston between 10.30am and 12.30pm.Each meeting, Jane, Carolyn and Marian try to have someone come along to give a short talk on matters of interest and have light entertainment i.e. keyboard player to sing along with, small choir’s quizzes are also popular. We serve tea, coffee and biscuits and ask for £1.00 to help cover our cost. Our aims are to help alleviate the isolation that sometimes can be experienced by suffers and their carers.
