Watermead Challenge Charity 2016

Wreake Valley Rotary Club’s seventh annual Watermead Challenge charity run in July attracted a record entry of over 450 runners.
The result means the Rotary Club are able to make a £3,000 donation to the Rothley based Alex’s Wish charity. Alex is ten and has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
The money will help to fund vital research and clinical trials for all children and young adults living with this condition.
The event was supported by the new Syston Rotary Club and Chris Thorpe of that club said: “We are delighted to make a donation to such a worthwhile local cause. Emma Hallam, Alex’s mother and founder of the Alex’s Wish, is an inspiration and the driving force behind the charity.”
