48 hour Flight Simulator Challenge

Neil Hodgson of ‘Today’s Catch’, Syston, pictured above, along with his support team, will fly for 48 hrs without sleep in a fixed based 737 NG simulator whilst raising money for three great charities.
The use of the simulator is being given free of charge by Jonathan Lockton and his team at Jet Sim School Ltd, Sibson Airodrome, Wansford, Peterborough.
Neil said: “We aim to raise as much money for our charities with our commitment, passion and our community. WE CAN make a difference to many peoples lives.”
The three chosen Charities for 2017 are Leicester Hospitals Charity, which began in 2002 after the three hospitals, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield General Hospital were merged into the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL). The Leicester Hospitals Charity became the official charity to undertake fundraising and engage with specific projects across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to raise funds for, support and enhance the three hospitals.
The Mid Anglia General Practitioner Accident Service (Magpas) was the brainchild of local GP’s Dr Neville Silverston MBE and Dr Derek Cracknell MBE. Magpas first commenced a voluntary out of hours service in 1971.
Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance. Began, over 22 years ago, have undertaken more than 17,800 life-threatening missions, delivering specialist medical attention to the people of Lincs & Notts in their greatest hour of need.
This years event will take place on the weekend of Saturday 25th March to Monday 27th March.
Neil, pictured, will take the challenge which will start at 10.00am on the Saturday and continue at the controls until 10.00am Monday.
He aims to raise £2,000 for the three charities mentioned above as this is the third one he has organised and wants it to be the best yet.

When you make a donation you will have an opportunity to win a flight simulator experience at one of many sites across the country.
The whole challenge event will be available to view online via a link, again, that can be found on the facebook page, so you can keep up with what Neil is doing.
