Women in Charnwood can enjoy a night of fun and exercise on Friday 9th June.
The Charity Girls Night Out is organised by Charnwood Borough Council as part of the This Girl Can Week from 5th to 11th June.
This Girl Can is a national campaign developed by Sport England which aims to celebrate active women and encourage people to take up a new sport or activity.
Chris Traill, Strategic Director for Neighbourhoods and Communities said: “This is a great chance to take your mum, your daughter or a group of friends on a night out with a difference. It’s a great way to get some exercise and perhaps try a new activity you hadn’t considered before. The proceeds from the event will also go to Cancer Research UK which is a great cause. I hope it’s another fun night out for everyone who attends.”
The event is for women aged 16 and over and is being held at The Cedar Academy’s Palmer-Tomkinson Centre, Wanlip Lane, Birstall from 6.00 to 9.00pm.
Tickets are £7.50 and include a T-shirt to wear on the night.
