Roll Up! Roll Up! It’s Carnival Time in Syston on Saturday 2nd September!
From 12.00noon to 4.30pm on Central Park, Syston.
This year’s theme is Sapphire and Ruby. Sapphire to celebrate the Queen’s 65th Jubilee and Ruby to celebrate Syston Carnival’s 40th year since restarting in 1977.
We all hope that the weather will be very kind to us this year and that everyone has a great time.
This family event is filled with competitions; Fancy dress for both adults and children, new this year is a best dressed dog competition. If dressing up isn’t your thing, then maybe home baking is, why not enter the homemade jam or cupcake competitions – Enter on the day by registering by 1.30pm at the Carnival marquee, situated in front of the Bowling Green hedge on Central Park.
There will be many stalls, some for our local charities, others where you can buy gifts. Try your luck on the Tombola stalls or even the Carnival Raffle, tickets for the latter can be purchased on the day at the Carnival Marquee.
There is a the Best Dressed Shop Window Competition for our local shops to enter.
As well as fairground rides, there will be a variety of entertainment, activities and displays in the main arena, see full details in the programme.
This is a great event for all of the family to enjoy – A traditional afternoon of fun!Come along and help our local charities and organisations raise much needed funds!
