Building on the enthusiasm of previous years, this exhibition delighted visitors with a wide variety of media. The Guild members displayed silk paintings, batiks on silk, watercolours, silver jewellery and beautiful stitched textile work. The watercolours of guest artist Ken Forrest proved a great success as did Anita Jarvis’s amazing feather brooches and hat pins.
Twyford’s Dotty Gallery showcased a lovely assortment of items including ceramics and wooden carvings. On Saturday Ali Groschl, who often holds workshops at the gallery, had an endless stream of people making the most beautiful fused glass Christmas decorations and coasters. So together with amazing artwork and craftwork in the Open section, once again this event proved a great success, with many visitors taking home unique mementos of the day.
