Judging of Shop Window 1st December

Our picture above show the Chairman of Syston Town Council Cllr Paul Henry with the three young people asked to judge this year’s shop window competition, they are R-L: Ellie, wearing her bronze medal, Beatrice and Eleanor.
The three girls took their task very seriously and walked around all of the shops that had entered, marking them individually as they went before meeting for a hot drink to deliberate.
Their final list was 3rd place LOROS, 2nd The Mews and 1st Sharon’s Sugarcraft.
A big thank you to Ellie, Beatrice and Eleanor for giving up their time and for their Mum’s who accompanied the Chairman and officers of the Town Council around the shops, but whom had no say in the decision.
The three girls were asked because of their outstanding achievements in their chosen sports, Beatrice whom the Stn has featured for competing in Gymnasts and currently trains with the GB team, Eleanor in trampolining and Ellie who achieved a bronze medal in the Special Olympics in her equestrian events.
Also a big thank you to all the shops that entered this year, you really made it hard for the judges!
