JumpStart Dance will be running their first Charity Event: DANCE CRAZE to raise funds for Rainbows Children’s Hospice on Thursday 23rd August. From 3.30pm – 4.30pm people of all ages will be invited to learn some of the most popular dance crazes from the last 100 years – NO experience required. There will also be lots of tasty cakes for sale and a raffle as part of their good cause’s event. This fun hour of dance will take place at St Peter and St Paul Academy, Syston.
Sadly, some children simply don’t live long enough. Since 1994 Rainbows have opened their doors and hearts to those children and the people who love them most. As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. Their incredible team of people help relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.
Local business JumpStart Dance have been supporting Rainbows throughout 2018 and the company’s artistic director, Louise Jaggard, commented “we’re delighted to partner up with such a brilliant cause and would love as many people as possible to come along, have fun and raise money. Rainbows only gets around 15% of their funding from government bodies, so they rely on donations to fund the care they give”.
From the YMCA to Flossing (and everything in between!) it is set to be a dance sensation!
£1 entry per person – pay on the door. All ages welcome
