Classic Car Run

Local residents Terry Farmer and Vicki Friend with their friend Mick Squire, from Anstey, organised their fourth classic car run to raise money for Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
Thanks to the generosity of the The Hobby Horse Farm, the cars on the run were able to gather there to register and see the other cars. There were cars dating from pre-war, the sixties and decades following, to slightly more modern classics. Many took advantage of the splendid breakfast buffet!
The route took the participants round the east and south of Leicestershire pausing at the Bosworth Water Park for a comfort stop, refreshments and to watch the many people enjoying the facilities there.
Then it was on through Warwickshire to conclude the run at the Coventry Museum of transport. A great place for a lunchtime meal and to take advantage of the free entrance to an amazing museum!
The icing on the cake was the wonderful weather and the £600 raised for Rainbows.
