Our remembrance window this year is full of memorabilia from WW1, WW2 and more recent conflicts.
We have lots of items relating to these from books and wartime music CDs.
We have ration books for food and a motor fuel ration book on display.
Our window has the story of three Syston WW2 soldiers.
Cyril Cunnington, James (Bill) Bevins and Douglas Kemp. Each poster contains a short bio of each soldier and a photograph.
Victoria and Jackie enjoyed putting together the remembrance window in the Town Square.
Victoria is a member of the COFEPOW (Children of Far East Prisoner of War Assocation) of which Sir Terry Waite is a patron and has visited a lot of battlefields from both WW1 and WW2 in France and Belgium.
