Residents are being encouraged to Choose to Move and become more active in 2019.
Charnwood Borough Council’s Choose to Move is a 10-week physical activity programme which offers weekly weigh-ins and exercise classes for anyone looking for a healthy way to kick-start the new year.
The programme starts on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 at Charnwood College, Loughborough and will be held every week between 7pm-8.30pm.
Cllr Deborah Taylor, the Council’s lead member for communities, safety and wellbeing said: “The Choose to Move programme offers residents the opportunity to get active in a friendly and welcoming environment.
“We’re committed to helping resident’s live healthier lifestyles, so I would encourage anyone looking to get more active to sign up for the programme.”
The weigh-in sessions are optional and will take place between 7.00 – 7.30pm. The exercise classes are suitable for all fitness levels and will take place indoors from 7.30-8.30pm.
The 10-week programme costs £25 and everyone who attends eight or more exercise sessions will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a 12 month gym membership with Fusion, usually worth around £300.
The Choose to Move programme was formerly known as Charnwood’s Largest Loser.
