RNLI visit

Class One from Thrussington Primary School enjoyed a visit from Rosemarie, from the RNLI, pictured here with three of the children. She talked to the children about keeping safe when near water, about the job of lifeguards and how to get help when at the seaside. Some of the children got to dress up as lifeguards and lifeboat crew so they could see what they wear and why. The children also learned about the different flags that you might find on the beach and what the different colours tell us about where you can and cannot swim.
This linked to the children’s choice of topic this term of Disasters at Sea.
