Wall of China – Mosiac Exhibition

Angelia Pick belongs to a mosaic class at Ettington in Warwickshire run by my daughter Lucy Cooke. One of her fellow members Tracey is planning to walk part of the Great Wall Of China in memory of a dear friend.
Ettington mosaic group decided they would like to support Tracey’s adventure and help her raise funds. So after putting on their thinking caps an idea was formed that they would build their own great wall of china.
Each member will be creating their own design on a special terracotta brick using only broken china and not the craft tiles and glass which is the usual medium for many members.
When all bricks are complete they will be displayed as a wall and will be going on exhibition.
All funds raised will be going to Julia’s House Children’s Hospice in Dorset.
The first exhibition is to be at Stratford Upon Avon and shall then travel to Manor Farm, Barkby Thorpe, LE7 3QH.
The exhibition will be staged in the garden and will be open to the public on Saturday 27th July – 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and Sunday 28th July – 10.00 am to 4.30 pm. Light refreshments will be served together with a raffle. Admission is free but donations would be appreciated.
