harvest Collection for Local Food Bank

Parishioners from the Divine Infant of Prague Roman Catholic Church, Broad Street organised a Harvest food collection for South Leicestershire Food Bank based at The Hub Cafe on High Street. Tinned and dried goods, biscuits and jars were collected and taken to The Hub Cafe by some of the younger parishioners this week. Parochial Administrator, Father John St. John highlighted how important it is for the parish to look after local people in need. “As a Christian Church we strive to look out for those in our community who may be struggling physically as well as spiritually. Many families can’t afford to buy the essentials for their families and some parents may go without food themselves so their children can eat. Our parishioners have donated their Harvest Food Collection to South Leicestershire Food Bank this year and hope that this can support some of the local families over the next few weeks.”
