St Peter and St Paul’s Cultural Day

On the 23rd November the school held the launch of an International Project in conjunction with schools in Tanzania. The intention is that 10 schools in the UK will undertake exchange visits with schools in Tanzania during the course of next year subject to funding. A group from Tanzania, ‘World Music Maker’, were in school to help to provide the children with an insight to activities overseas. The classes were involved in studying different African countries, Madagascar, Kenya, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Egypt with a view to understanding their culture and countries. All the children were involved in various works from arranging Safaris to producing masks and amulets. With the help of the visiting group a number of African dances were organised. It was an exciting day for the children who all were enjoying the experience.
