Fosseway Bowls Club

Fosseway ladies are the Leicestershire unbadged winners for 2011 for two rinks of four ladies. They beat Enderby Bowls Club 58 – 39 points in a very exciting final. Fosseway Ladies section is not big, but they have beat some good sides from around Leicestershire. They are looking for lady players for 2012. Interested? Telephone President Roger Beeton on 0116 260 8044 for details. Fosseway men played their annual challenge match against Fosseway Ladies on 27th August. The men narrowly won, but the winners were Cancer UK who sponsored the match. The theme was pink for the ladies and blue for the lads. The amount raised was in excess of £400, which will go to Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer research. Well done to everyone who took part. The season is drawing to a close now, the club is looking for new players for 2012. Anyone interested please phone the number above.
