Grow Give Live

Here at Grow Give Live, we are preparing the community planters for the winter. Most of the veg produce has finished now, though the few days of sun we had in October kept the tomatoes going! We’ll be planting green manure in some of the planters to keep the soil fresh and ready for next year.
Despite the growing season slowing down, there is still plenty to do and get involved with; we are holding our final Garden Café of the year on Wednesday 15th November from 7pm at the Pharmacie Arms. Come and join us for some early festive fun – we’ll be making seed gifts, sharing some updates and having the odd mince pie or two!
We are very excited to share news of a new project in Syston; the lovely folk at Scotia Press on St. Peter’s Street approached us to get involved with creating a community garden space using the planters at the front of their business.
These are in a fantastic position for growing – there is a lot of work to do to get them ready for next spring; keep an eye out on our Facebook page for details of how you can get involved in helping to turn this into a beautiful, productive space for the whole community to enjoy.
Our huge thanks to Jen, Andrea and all at Scotia Press for inviting us to be involved in this exciting project.
We have another project in the pipeline which we are looking forward to sharing news of soon – watch this space!
Winter may only just be on its way, but we are already looking forward to Spring!
