Cream Teas
An unseasonably cool day for the first day of Summer saw our first Cream Tea for this year to be held in the church. Plans for sitting outside had to be abandoned!
However, those who came enjoyed a large scone with clotted cream and jam as well as a tea or coffee and enjoy the company of friends.
A member of the congregation had brought a large selection of plants to be sold.
At the end, after all expenses had been fulfilled a total of £160.50 was raised for church funds.
Watch out for posters for future teas on July 6th, August 4th (Sunday) and September 14th (Saturday as part of Heritage Weekend).
Families@4
Sunday 9th June families @4 explored prayer. We asked how we pray and when.
We looked at the Lord’s prayer. Rev. Ros reading scripture, the Gospel according to St Matthew chapter 6 verses 9 to 15.
We had fun creating prayer wheels, bracelets and a godly play version of the Lord’s prayer.
We finished with a fun active bubble prayer and washed it down with gallons of tea and coffee and some scrummy homemade cakes.
We are taking a break during July and August, see you again 2nd Sunday in September.
