SUMMARY:Colour Blast Dash
DESCRIPTION:The Colour Blast Dash – Leicester Sunday 29th April at Victoria Park – The Colour Blast Dash is a messy colour fun-run for all ages that takes place to support The Laura Centre\, a specialist bereavement charity. Having begun in 2014\, it offers a 2.5k ‘Rascal Run’ for those aged under 10 and a 5k run for those aged above. During the race\, runners will be blasted with powder paint and at the end there is a group paint release finale. Also on offer is an events village with food and drink stalls etc. The ‘Rascal Run’ ticket costs £11 and includes race entry\, a race number and a T shirt. The 5k ticket costs £21 and includes race entry\, a race number\, a T-shirt and a packet of powder paint. We also encourage participants to run as groups and so sell team tickets of four and more. The event begins at 9am\, with the ‘Rascal Run’ taking place first\, followed by the 5k run\, and ends at 12.30pm. As well as buying a ticket\, we encourage all participants to collect sponsors and fundraise for The Laura Centre using our fundraising partners which can be found online at – www.colourblastdash.org

DESCRIPTION:12.00noon for 12.30pm\nFelicity Austin and her friends are organising a special Ladies’ Lunch for Rainbows. It will be held in St Peter and St Paul’s Church Hall on Lower Church Street.\nThe cost is £12 which includes a delicious two course buffet lunch plus coffee; and a glass of wine or other drink on arrival. As a special feature there will be a display of garments that were made in Leicester factories from the 1920s onwards. Tickets are available from Joan on 07944 606782 or from Jennings’ shop on High Street.\nSo\, ladies of Syston\, dress up in your best ‘bib and tucker’ (whatever they are!) and come and celebrate the spring with us on this special day.
