Coronation-1953

Diamond Jubilee – SYSTON

The gift of a copy of the 1953 Syston & New Barkby Coronation Souvenir Programme has prompted the Syston Local History Group to include a ‘Coronation’ display at this year’s exhibition on Saturday 15th September. The Society has a few pictures in their archives but not enough to provide a very big display. Do you have any photographs or newspaper cuttings that you would be prepared to lend for copying, they would of course be treated with care and returned when copied. If you are able to help please contact Ray Young on 0116 260 9663 or email ray.a.young@googlemail.com
