G E Gamble & Sons

This well known and established family run Syston business has been in existence since 1830. It is now owned by Rick Astill and his son Louis.
This business is a shining example of how to be community focused, they go above and beyond in giving back to the community. Rick worked with and was trained by Edward Gamble and took over the business in April 2007 a year after Edward passed away.
Rick of G E Gamble & Sons Independent Funeral Directors will again be donating Christmas Trees to the following churches in Syston and Queniborough; St Peter and St Paul’s Church, the Methodist Church, The infant of the Divine Catholic Church and St Mary’s Church. They have done this for many years.
They were also involved in the development of the New Syston and District Cemetery, Millstone Lane, advising the Syston Town Council as well as donating a beautiful Birdbath and Bench for use in the Cemetery grounds. These can be seen in the pictures here, with Rick and Louis standing behind the bench.
Although not yet situated within the cemetery, it is hoped that they will be put in a suitable place for people to use and enjoy.
