‘Help Me with My Heart’ Charity CD Released to Raise Funds for Glenfield Hospital
Syston musician John Montague has released a 28 track double CD to help provide Leicester Glenfield Hospital with new equipment.
John received life-saving treatments at the hospital and after his stay in 2019 John and his family decided to do some fundraising for Ward 28.
The fundraising was led by John’s daughter Hannah (Hannah-Marie Beauty) and a target of £2020 was set for 2020. By December 2020 they had smashed their original target and raised over £3000 with a variety of virtual events including bingo and a duck race!
They decided to purchase three urgently needed Observation Units and also to carry on fundraising for this amazing hospital which had become such a big part of their lives.
As soon as John was able, he decided to record and produce a limited edition album called ‘Help Me With My Heart’ to further boost the fundraising.
The double album features a wide range of music performed by top musicians from all over the world and the UK, all the songs and tunes (all original) were written and donated with amazing love and support.
This album is dedicated to the memory of Consultant Cardiologist at the Glenfield hospital Tony Gershlick who died in November 2020 from Covid-19.
