Love Loughborough BID to boost local spend with the help of some Sea Creatures!

Learn more about marine life and win some spending money this Summer!
Love Loughborough BID has created a seaside themed summer trail around Loughborough town centre to encourage shoppers to shop local this Summer.
32 local businesses are participating in the trail, each hiding their own special sea creature answer within their premises or in their shop window for shoppers to find. Once shoppers have matched the 10 answers, simply complete the form for the chance to win some Love Loughborough gift vouchers which can be spent in any of the participating gift voucher shops or businesses. These 43 participating gift voucher businesses cover retail, hospitality and hair and beauty, so there is something for everyone! The businesses accepting the gift vouchers can be found on the gift voucher trail on the LoyalFree app or on our Love Loughborough website.
The summer seaside trail will kick off at the start of the school summer holiday on Saturday 10th July and every week a winner will be drawn to receive £100’s worth of vouchers. The trail will continue until after the Bank holiday and will end on Tuesday 31st August. Don’t forget the Beehive
Car Park is offering free parking for an hour and free parking all day on Sundays, so why not take advantage of this enjoy a spot of retail therapy mid trail or even maybe a lunch or and ice cream to take advantage of this extra saving!
Additionally, whilst here you may also want to download our LoyalFree app that highlights some great offers and discounts around the town, including retail, food and drink so you can make a whole day of it! As you may know we also have our award-winning park in the town too which is always a hit for relaxing, seeing the birds or enjoying the swings at the park.
Entry forms are free and can be downloaded from our website or hard copies can be collected from the participating 32 businesses on the trail and at the Loughborough Town Hall (*subject to their own opening times) The completed applications forms can then be posted in our special post box that will be accessible between Monday- Friday 9-3 which is based in the Town Hall Foyer. If you are completing the form at the weekend, you can upload your answer to our website or by emailing your answers over to us at: manager@loveloughborough.co.uk
Lisa Brown, BID Manager stated ‘Adults, children and families can enjoy hunting for our marine answers around the town and it encourages visitors to go into shops that they maybe wouldn’t ordinarily have visited. We have some great independent shops in Loughborough and this trail helps people to shop local on our wonderful high street.’
Lez Cope Newman, BID Chairman stated, ‘With our normal yearly events cancelled this year due to the pandemic, we wanted to encourage shoppers back to our town in a safe and covid secure way, to help our businesses. We have all had a tough year, but Loughborough is open, safe and is ready to welcome people back. We appreciate that some shoppers may still be hesitant to come into the town, so please check our crowd counter on our website to put any doubts at ease. Here you will be able to see how busy the town is in real time so you can make the decision to come into the town based on how you feel. Just head to https://loughborough.geo-sense.co.uk
So, if you want to find out what a collection of Dolphins is called then complete our trail and be in with a chance of winning some vouchers this summer!
This trail has been kindly supported and made possible by the welcome back funding for the town.
