Where we are at the moment!
We send great joy and good wishes to Bishop Guli, recently Bishop of Loughborough, as she moves to Chelmsford with her family to commence her new post as Bishop there. It is also with regret that as a result her husband, our Team Rector Lee Francis-Dehqani, has also moved to support her and the family. His final service was held in Syston on the 20th July. The service was well attended with parishioners from Syston, Barkby and surrounding parishes. At the conclusion of the service Lee and his family were presented with gifts, blessings and good wishes for the future.
We are now in a state of ‘Interregnum’ or vacancy. This situation will remain for a period of time until a new Rector is appointed. The Church Wardens, together with Reverend Biddy Saunders and lay ministers will continue to provide the midweek and Sunday services of worship. Baptisms, weddings and the calling of Banns, funerals, home communions and pastoral care of the sick and elderly will continue. The PCC will continue to meet on a regular basis. Please be assured that no major changes to the pattern of services will be undertaken during this time of interregnum. We ask for your prayers and welcome all to attend any of the services.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am Service of Morning Prayer on Facebook Live. This is a simple way to begin the day. You can follow on the Daily Prayer app or through the Church of England Website Or you can simply watch, listen and reflect. Each video is then available on the website to view later.
Wednesdays 8pm we continue to say Compline by Zoom. Every week Biddy emails the link to those who have requested it. Contact Biddy if you think this a calming way to end a day: revbiddysaunders@gmail.com
We are awaiting the final details from the Government regarding any further removals or changes to the restrictions governing Covid. Please refer to our church notice boards, Facebook page, website on a church near you.

We are grateful that we have the services of our curate Revd. Biddy Saunders and wish her well as she prepares to be ordained a priest in October.
Churches Together
Revd Biddy met with other members of the Churches Together committee members to discuss a way forward together. It was agreed that there should be a Service of Praise in the Park on 22nd August at 3pm. All are welcome to attend and to observe any Covid restrictions in place. Please refer to the posters advertising this service.

Because of the problems with distancing and young people this service will continue on line. So have a look by searching eleven30 on Facebook. We hope that by September we should be able to meet and have activities together in church.
