Fundraising Hike up Snowdon

A guy called David Thomas has sadly recently lost his godfather to leukaemia. We know from David that his godfather, Nigel Hooper, benefited from obtaining vital bloods from our free and voluntary courier service within the Leicestershire and Rutland Blood Bikes and NHS partnership.
Because of this he is hiking Snowdon in August and donating all proceeds to our blood bikes group. We will be meeting up with David the day before his hike (19th August) and immediately after (20th August) to wish him good luck and to say well done.
The volunteers meeting him the day before will be on two of our blood bikes, so will be a great photo opportunity.
I thought it would be a nice story to generate some local positive news around the combination of biking and hiking – and more about what we do as a blood bikes group, especially following our recent accolade of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service.
